About MBC Construction
Experience. Quality. Reliability!
Company Principles
Ken Seckora and Mike Mountanos founded MBC Construction Company Inc. in 1990. The business started with the purchase of one D6H tractor. Ken Seckora had previously worked in the construction business starting out at the Geysers Geothermal Area in Sonoma and Lake Counties in 1977. Ken worked extensively at the Geysers for the next 12 years on drill and pad construction, large road projects, sump construction and closures, gaining valuable experience in all aspects of the construction field. In the late 1980’s the Geysers began to decline in steam production, leading to the closure of much of the production of the steamfield and power plants. This led to the startup of MBC Construction and the working relationship with Mike Mountanos. During the next 20 years MBC Construction developed a large client base, including the development of three large Mondavi projects in Mendocino County involving approximately 350 acres, and numerous large reservoirs. Over the next 20 years, MBC Construction developed strong returning client relationships, and gained a strong reputation as one of the premier vineyard developers on the North Coast working in Mendocino, Lake, Sonoma, and Napa Counties.
Ken Seckora and his two sons Colter and Carson purchased MBC Construction Company in 2009. MBC Construction’s goal is to continue with the sound work ethics and continued excellent workmanship that has allowed the company to expand. Ken and his sons emphasize a standard of excellence through personal commitments to the highest level of customer service and quality workmanship.
